Cherokee Explosives,
Inc. is a Connecticut Corporation founded and Incorporated in 1982.
We are celebrating our twentieth year in the explosives business as a
family owned and operated company.
Cherokee Explosives
was the first distributor of IRECO Explosives in New England and
introduced repumpable emulsions at various quarry and site
operations in Connecticut. As the dynamics of the industry
changed, Cherokee Explosives expanded to become a full service
drilling and blasting contractor.
The President and CEO of
Cherokee Explosives, Inc. is Robert Britton III. He was a
Technical Representative with Danbury Explosives Inc before founding
Cherokee Explosives in 1982. He is a member of the International
Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE), the New England Society of
Explosives Engineers and Charter Member and past Director of the
Connecticut Chapter of the SEE.

satisfaction is first and foremost. We pride ourselves in the
service we give to our customers. This would not be possible
without the combined expertise of our drillers and blasters.
We are fully insured,
bonded and licensed in CT, NY, NJ, RI, MA and VT. Our company is
MSHA Certified and DOT Compliant. Cherokee is An Affirmative
